I made this peplum top from a faux leather, which has a knit backing. The skirt is a 3D rosette fabric which I found online that I just love! The texture is amazing, and I love the color.
The colors and the clash of textures reminded me of the HBO series True Blood. It looks like something one of the more sophisticated Vampire women might wear, possibly the character Pam.
We shot the pictures with two different pairs of shoes, one pair is by Steve Madden, the other pair is made by Franco Sarto.

This outfit really suits Ciarra's style. I think the outfit came out great, and looks wonderful on her as well.
Until next post

Oh I LOVE this! It's absolutely gorgeous! That skirt just begs to be touched...it looks like it would be soft. The top is amazing...that material is really something too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sabacat :-)
DeleteVery cool!! Love the combination of leather top and Flowery skirt. I think I used brown version of same fabric for one of my theatre play designs! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! what play did you design for? How fun! :-)
DeleteAbsolutely love the faux leather peplum top! I have to make one of those! Gorgeous photos as always, Amy!

Thanks Rita. The top was rather easy, but faux leather can be "sticky" at times to sew on. My machine handled it just "ok", I am upgrading to an industrial machine finally this spring. I can't wait. :-) I need a heavy duty machine to handle all the sewing I do.
DeleteWhat a pretty dress, who wouldn’t love it!
